We traveled to the Dulles area on Oct 23 to visit the National Air & Space Museum.

The Air France Concorde "supersonic transport", a joint project between the French and English. Concorde means unity/harmony in both languages. Only 20 where built and flew transatlantic routes with the help of a Rolls Royce engine back forth from JFK to Heathrow to Dulles to DeGaulle. The retired November 26, 2003. Rachel had the opportunity to see one when it flew into SeaTac International Airport.

The Space Shuttle "Enterprise" it's original name was the Constitution but was changed after a "Trekkie" write in campaign to change the name. It has never been in space but has been used for training and was integral in helping determine what happened following the Columbia Explosion. Rumor has it that Discovery may take her place at the museum.
