Our favorite ride into town, "The Jitney Bus", we rode the #10 bus almost daily, a one way trip is $1.25 either Bahamian or US Dollar, the currencies are inter-changeable.

The Water Barge, it arrives everyday from one of the nearby islands. The Bahamas is comprised of 700 islands and all necessities are imported. Their number one industry is tourism followed by off-shore banking. They do produce salt for Mortons. There is no income tax but there is a 45% tax on all consumable goods.

and the native people the Lucayans, who no longer inhabit the islands.
