About time for an update!

HI Everyone,

Well, I am finally getting around to updating the blog. My intentions are always good but sometimes time seems to get away from me and the blog goes on the back burner.

A lot has gone in the past month, our friend Jackie came to visit for a few days in January (14-18). We really enjoyed her visit and it just seemed that it went too fast. Jackie enjoyed meeting Ian and brought him two new books and some treats from Japan. While she was in town we visited the War Memorial of Korea on Friday during a snowfall.

Juan had Saturday off so we took the Seoul City Tour bus and visited National Folk Village, Gyeongbokgung Palace, and Namdaemun Market. Happy Lunar New Year, Juan gets to celebrate his year in 2009, The Year of the Ox. I am the Year of the Rabbit and Ian is the Year of the Rat.

Tired after a long day exploring.

In January we were blessed with Juan having several 3-4 day weekends. So we decided to take advantage of this and explore Seoul. Our first stop was the CO-EX mall and Aquarium. We live within a 5-10 minute walk of a subway station so we decided there is no excuse not to get out. We arrived around 11am and decided to have lunch before visiting the aquarium and ended up at a wonderful Italian joint. Juan and I enjoyed a nice lunch while Ian slept on the couch. He continued to sleep as we ventured into aquarium and awoke half way through. Below are some pictures from our visit. Check out the Aquarium website http://www.coexaqua.co.kr/ and select English. The following weekend we headed to the 63 Building, they also have an aquarium but we decided we would go back another time. Juan and I just wanted to get out of the house and the weather was too nice. So we enjoyed a train ride and walk along the Han River.

The 63 Bldg, designed in the shape of praying hands and based on Psalm 63.
