This past weekend we had a chance to travel out to the mountains and stay at Hyundai Sungwoo Resort. Check out the website http://www.hdsungwooresort.co.kr/ and click on English. Our church, The ROCK (Relying on Christ while in Korea) hosted a family weekend there for a bargain price of $20/family. After church we boarded a bus and traveled two hours outside of Seoul. We stayed in a traditional Korean 1 room condo with a great view of the slopes. Juan and I decided to forego learning to ski this time and stuck to sledding. We brought our Ergo carrier and Juan strapped Ian on his chest and prepared to go down the hill. Unfortunately Ian doesn't remember any of this because he slept throught the whole experience. I think next year we will try to ski for the first time.
When we returned from our overnight church trip we couldn't wait to sleep in our own beds after a night on the floor. Even with 5 mats and our own pillows we were sore. Ian slept great in his Bugaboo bassinet, at least one of us had a great night sleep. Untimately it is all about the experience in Korea.
