Our two-year stint in Korea came to an end on 27 July 2010, it was a feeling of competing emotions. Our two years was filled with memories of joy, frustration, companionship, friendship, army-life influences, and just about every other feeling that one can conjure up.
In the end, all other feelings were pushed aside by the feeling of elation. We were excited to be going back to the United States and ultimately being closer to family and friends. Our trip back to the United States would have us visiting Rachel's family in the Washington cities of Seattle and Pasco. We continued south enroute to visiting Juan's family in South Gate, CA. Along the way, we made pit stops in Bend, OR; Anderson, CA; and Hanford, CA.
Besides seeing family members in Seattle, Pasco, and Los Angeles, we also stopped by to see friends in Anderson and Hanford. In addition to family and friends, however, one of our highlights was a cherished stop at Crater Lake National Park. This was quite a site that not only words, but pictures, could not do it justice. It was a beautiful site that drew Rachel and I one step closer to God's perfection - we were in complete awe of God's wonder and nature!!!
