For eight years we saw the world as husband and wife, as permanent boyfriend-girlfriend, as close friends. We have friends with children, who have always told us that having children will change your life forever, but for the better. It's difficult to imagine, comprehend, or even embrace that statement until you experience it for yourselves.
We both shared with one another, but now there is Ian. We share our lives with him and many times we find ourselves in complete and utter awe to the awesome blessing and undeserved grace of our God who would bestow His trust of this child into our hands. In these last five days, while sick and healthy, Ian has given us more joy than we could have ever imagined possible.
