Today, mom and Rachel left Gillette, WY and traveled to Cody arriving around 1:30 pm, which ended up being the most relaxing driving day so far. Yeah! We stopped in Buffalo and talked to Jim one of the local travel guides. He gave us some great info and recommendations on what route to take to Cody. Originally we thought the route through Sheridan would be best but after talking with him, we settled on the Buffalo route. There was some great scenery and nice small towns along the way. The one thing we can say about the people from Wyoming is that they are extremely friendly and welcoming. After a quick rest and trip to a local family restaurant we visited Sierra Trading Post, one of Rachel's favorite online shopping sites. Rachel and mom both found some great deals. Tomorrow will be a fun day with a trip through Yellowstone National Park, the first National Park in the US. We were here over 16 years ago when Rachel was in high school, it will be fun to see the changes.
